Monchique Natural Park, located in the western Algarve region of southern Portugal, encompasses the Serra de Monchique mountain range, the highest in the Algarve. Established to protect its unique ecology and rural heritage, the park covers approximately 100 square kilometers of predominantly forested hills and valleys.
