Hickory Hill County Park is located in Polk County just southeast of Des Moines, Iowa. Spanning over 445 acres, the park features a diverse mix of hardwood forests, wetlands, meadows, and small lakes. The terrain includes rolling hills and wooded areas dominated by oak, hickory, and maple trees. This variety of habitat supports local wildlife such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, rabbits, and many bird species, making it a popular destination for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.
