What to Expect

After all riders have been checked in, the group will get fit for helmets and receive instructions on how to steer and ride your horse. You will be assigned a friendly horse based on your size, riding ability, and other factors. Please be attentive to the instructions from your wrangler to ensure a safe and enjoyable trail ride!

Our trail ride takes you through peaceful timber woods and along Saylorville Lake. While on your ride, you will be in control of your own horse. This means that you must steer your horse like you would steer a car, no texting (or taking selfies) while riding, please!

Experienced Riders

If you are joining us as an experienced rider, please be aware that we cater our rides to people who have never ridden or ridden very little, but this can be a fun and relaxing ride for you too! Please be patient while we instruct to ensure all of our guests, staff, and horses are as safe and comfortable as possible.

What to Wear

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes are REQUIRED. Riders with unacceptable footwear will not be able to ride and will forfeit their ride.
  • Long pants - preferably jeans (for your comfort!) are suggested.

If you have any additional questions before your trail ride, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to seeing you out on the trails!
