Enjoy ample free time and the ability to explore as you please. If you’d like our professional guides to show you the wonders of Yosemite National Park, then check out our guided Yosemite Winter Guided Overnight Lodging Tour!

If you’re lucky to visit after a recent snowstorm, you’ll witness a Yosemite that few tourists get to see. With towering granite monoliths blanketed in snow and magnificent waterfalls frozen in time, this is an entirely new version of Yosemite National Park.

Unplug and unwind in these rustic tent cabins in the center of Curry Village in Yosemite Valley, close to dining options, bike rentals, and an outdoor amphitheater where you can enjoy a Ranger-Led Nature Program, slide presentation or scenic movie on a warm summer night. True to the original intent of Curry Village, these tent cabins feature wooden frames wrapped and covered with canvas, wooden floors and wooden doors. While they do have electric lighting, they don’t have electrical outlets, phones, TVs or plumbing. Guests are provided with sheets, wool blankets, pillows and towels during their stay. Bathrooms and showers are shared in a central location. *Single, triple and quad occupancy rates available.

At night, kick back with a warm drink, arrange a twilight hike, or hear stories told fireside at the historic Majestic Hotel. You’ll have the flexibility to craft your own experience in the unique landscape of this winter wonderland. Your expert guide can direct you to the best winter hikes in the valley, take a guided tour of the valley floor, or join a ranger program to learn about the nature surrounding you and the history of the area. Snap-on some snow shoes and traipse across the powdery landscape, or work on your glide at the ice-skating rink.

Only the explorer who visits Yosemite National Park in the winter months will truly understand the exquisite silence and majestic views that endeared travelers like John Muir, Ansel Adams, and Theodore Roosevelt to this astounding landscape.

**Note: Some activities are not accessible in extreme weather or due to road closures. Every attempt will be made to find comparable activities if these options are not available during your trip. This tour runs daily, November-March. See our Yosemite Overnight Lodging Tour for summer-season overnights in Yosemite.

Watch for Road and Trail Closures

Winter weather can cause intermittent closures; check Yosemite updates before your visit to plan alternate routes or activities.
