Did you know that 3/4 of the birds on the Pacific Flyway stop in the Klamath Basin - the Wood River Wetlands is the place to view them birds! Pelicans, Herons, Egrets, Grebes, Wood Ducks, Pelicans, Ospreys, Eagles, Seagulls, Cormorants, Swallows, and a whole bunch more are some that you may see. Along with the birds, you may also see Beavers, Marmots, River Otters, and other wildlife. This place has such an awesome variety of wildlife! A favorite spot, for sure!

This float is one of our easiest and perfect for the beginner with little or no kayaking experience. We start at Petric Park and go through the wetlands to the Wood River. We float downstream to Agency Lake, where we meander across back to another finger of the Wood, then back through the wetlands to the launch ramp. We're able to take lots of pictures while on our tour! Our licensed Oregon Guides are very experienced with years on the water and dedicated to providing you a very enjoyable experience you will remember a lifetime.

What to bring:

  • Kayak, if bringing your own

  • Light snacks
  • Sun and eye protection, such as sunglasses and/or a hat with a brim
  • Synthetic, athletic clothes and shoes that can get sandy or wet (or go barefoot). Avoid cottons, like jeans and sweatshirts

What to know:

  • No previous experience needed. We teach you everything you need to know
  • Small capacity tour only up to 12 paddlers
  • Up to two guides per group, depending on size
  • All guests are required to sign a company policy waiver, links to the waiver will be provided in the confirmation email.
