Your favorite way to take yoga off the mat! This SUP Yoga all levels class is 90 minutes long with a beginner lesson provided on land for all newer paddlers. We take a 10 to 15 minute paddle as a warm up to our anchor location on the river. From there we spend the next 45 to 50 minutes practicing our poses on the paddle board. After savasana, we have a gentle cool down paddle back to our launch location as the sun is setting.
These classes are open to “all levels”. Students are taken through a yoga flow with customized and detailed instruction for the paddleboard so even if they have not been practicing yoga for years, or if they have never been on a paddleboard, they will be able to follow along without a problem.
This class meets at the Lehigh River Rt. 33 D&L Trail Boat Launch off of Freemansburg Ave between Bethlehem Township and Palmer Township, near the Southmont Shopping Plaza.
We provide all the necessary gear for students as needed. If you are bringing your own board and using an inflatable, please try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class start time to inflate your board fully for class. All BYOB (bring your own board) participants must have a valid DCNR boat launch permit and life jacket. We provide anchors for ALL participants unless you have your own.
