About

Escape the crowds and snap stunning photos on an unforgettable Photo Safari! Head off the beaten track today to see the coastal sights of Juneau on a unique type of personal scooter - a Segway. You'll hit the road and the beach on this fun, 3-hour tour. Begin with a brief 6-mile transfer to the starting point. A short training session helps you get acquainted with your Segway- and how it responds to your body language. After training, you’ll be given safety equipment and your own Segway. You’ll be surprised how quickly you get the hang of it and how fun it is to ride. Guest under the age of 12 will ride a Trikke Pon’e. As you set out, you will immediately encounter views of the majestic Mendenhall Glacier. Cruise on a paved bicycle path next to the road along the coast and make several stops for photos while you take in the pristine waters of Lynn Canal, part of the Inside Passage. Because you are on a Segway, you will have the opportunity to intimately interact with nature. Listen for eagle calls in flight, the waves lapping the shoreline, and maybe even spy the occasional breaching humpback whale.

As an added adventure, hop off your Segway and walk a 7-minute trail to a secluded beach to enjoy locally-sourced refreshments. Immerse yourself in the Tongass National Forest, a temperate rain forest and the largest National Forest in the US. Continue to snap incredible photos while witnessing the panoramic views with your fellow travelers. Throughout your journey, your guide will teach you about the diverse native flora and fauna. Don’t miss this extraordinary experience of seeing Alaska in an exceptional setting.
