Lesson Types

Ages 3-6

For our youngest soon-to-be skiers/boarders, our most popular option is a private lesson. One-on-one attention provides the best instruction possible, ensuring they progress at their own pace. Our Snow Pros understand the uncertainty that comes with learning new things; they coax, encourage and care for your little one every step of the way. Ages 3-6 are not eligible to participate in semi-private lessons.

Lesson Type: Ski or snowboard Lesson Duration: 1 hour or 2 hours Number of participants: One participant only. Ages 3-6 are not eligible to participate in semi-private lessons.

1 Hour Lesson: $60
2 Hour Lesson: $110

Ages 7+

Our experienced pros will provide you with focused attention on the development of your ski or snowboard skills with a one-on-one approach. A semi-private lesson for up to 3 people is also available.

Lesson Type: Ski or snowboard Lesson Duration: 1 hour or 2 hours Number of participants: Up to three participants. Please ensure participants are at a similar ability level if wanting multiple participants in the same lesson.

1 Hour Lesson: $100 - Add a person: $56/additional person 2 Hour Lesson: $185 - Add a person: $92/additional person

Advanced Lessons

Looking for something different to add to your skiing skills? Book a lesson with one of our Park Certified or Level 3 or above instructors to advance your skiing skills or learn how to hit those rails safely and with style.

Options

Lesson Type: Ski only Lesson Duration: 1 hour or 2 hours Number of participants: Up to three participants. Please ensure participants are at a similar ability level if wanting multiple participants in the same lesson.

1 Hour Lesson: $125 - Add a person: $70/additional person 2 Hour Lesson: $220 - Add a person: $125/additional person

Parent & Tot

One of our expert instructors will teach you how to safely ski with your child. This lesson is for children aged 3 to 6 and requires that the adult is already a proficient skier. You'll learn how to use a rope system with your little one and our instructor will advise you on how to teach your child to ski like a pro. This lesson is for skiing instruction only.

Lesson Type: Ski only Lesson Duration: 1 hour Number of participants: One parent and one child ages 3 to 6.

Additional Private Lesson Information

  • Private lessons do not include lift tickets or rentals (instruction only)
  • Every lesson participant must be in possession of a valid lift ticket and in full equipment
  • Helmets are required to participate in a lesson
  • A credit card number is required to hold the lesson booking. You will provide your card number when booking your lessons and it will be charged a few days before the date of your lesson.
  • All Sir Sam’s instructors are certified with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors, the Canadian Freestyle Association, Professional Ski Instructors of Canada, Canadian Adaptive Snowsports, and/or Alpine Ontario.
  • Seven lesson packs are available. If interested, please inquire at the time of your lesson booking or at the Snow School desk.

Adventure Tips

Book Early for Advanced Lessons

Specialist freestyle and race lessons require advance booking to secure your spot with top-level instructors.

Dress in Layers

Ontario winters can be unpredictable; layering helps you stay warm without overheating during active instruction.

Arrive Early for Check-In

Check in at the Snow School Desk at least 15 minutes before your lesson to ensure a smooth start.

Bring Cash for Tips

Instructors appreciate cash tips as there is no ATM or cash-back option on site.
