Maui Kayaks is a small, locally based kayak and snorkel outfitter operating from Kihei, Hawaii. The company runs guided paddles and snorkel-kayak adventures along West Maui and the Lahaina coastline, focusing on accessible, wildlife-focused eco-adventures. Offerings include a 2-hour Lahaina Paddle designed for beginners that explores calm coastal waters without requiring snorkeling; a 3-hour Lahaina Excursion that pairs kayaking with reef snorkeling to view green sea turtles, tropical fish, and vibrant coral; and a Whale Watch & Reef Snorkel on West Maui that combines reef snorkeling with opportunities to observe migrating humpback whales in season.
Guides provide personalized attention, lead small groups to minimize crowding, and emphasize safe, responsible interaction with marine life and fragile reef habitats. Trips showcase scenic backdrops such as the West Maui Mountains and nearby islands, with frequent sightings of Hawaiian green sea turtles and diverse reef fish. The company’s programs are structured to suit beginners as well as participants seeking intimate nature encounters, offering clear instruction, guided snorkeling, and eco-friendly practices on every trip.
