Anchors Aweigh Sailing School offers hands-on sailing instruction and certification-focused courses on small sailboats and larger monohull vessels. The school runs Basic Keelboat (ASA 101) courses including a mid-week ASA-101 option taught aboard a 23-foot Sonar named Liberty. Classes combine classroom instruction and on-water practice, with limited class sizes to ensure personalized instruction.
Anchors Aweigh also provides a Docking Endorsement (ASA 118) delivered over two immersive days aboard a 30-foot monohull sailboat. That program begins with classroom lessons and continues with real-world docking practice on the water, focusing on maneuvering and boat-handling under practical conditions.
For sailors who prefer relaxed outings, the Boost Your Skills evening sail is a 3-hour evening cruise designed for unwinding or practicing skills with friends. The school additionally participates in Thames Yacht Club regattas with Wednesday races that run every other week; guests can race or spectate during these events.
Course offerings include multiple ASA-format options and single-event experiences that emphasize on-water time, practical application, and small group instruction. Booking information and schedule specifics are available through The Adventure Collective listing for Anchors Aweigh Sailing School.
