The program lineup includes a range of skill-building lessons (Introduction to River Kayaking, Fundamentals of Kayaking, Pool Rolling, River Kayaking, and Intermediate River Kayaking on the Colorado River), seasonal open pool sessions for kids, and multi-day international trips such as a 9-day Costa Rica Kayaking Adventure on Sarapiqui and Pacuare rivers. Classes use local waterways including Chatfield Reservoir, sections of the Colorado River, and Glenwood Canyon for varied whitewater exposure. Equipment and safety gear are provided during lessons and supervised sessions. The Costa Rica Kayaking Adventure offers warm-water paddling, diverse whitewater, optional customizations, and post-paddle amenities noted in trip descriptions like hot tubs and water slides.
Colorado River School is featured on The Adventure Collective, where trip listings and partner pages provide additional details. Program design targets skill progression: beginners can build foundational strokes and safety techniques, intermediate paddlers can practice rolling and class III rapids, and families can access youth-focused pool sessions. The organization combines guided river time, instructor-led feedback, and practical rescue practice to support paddlers advancing toward independent river travel.
Detailed itineraries, schedules, and registration options appear on the school's trip listings and partner booking pages, enabling prospective paddlers to compare trip lengths, skill requirements, gear lists, and select dates that fit their schedules and budgets.
