90 Minutes
Looking for a fun outing with friends and family or a way to entertain your kiddos on a hot Summer afternoon?
Our signature social paddles on the Lehigh River run from 90 minutes to two hours. This is a class where students are welcome to bring their own boards or rent boards. A beginner lesson is taught to all anyone new to stand up paddle boarding or who would like a refresher. We see this as an opportunity to hang out, spend time on the water, and further your paddle skills or learn a new skill. MMY will also provide trash bags to any paddler who would like to snag a piece or two of trash if found on the water or parking lot. Social paddles are a great time for us as a community to grow and make new friends. We would love to see you out on the water to kick off your weekend, hope to see you soon. You can swim in the river so bring a towel especially for this midday Tuesday and Thursday 12pm to 2pm sessions.
Water shoes provide good grip on slippery boat launches and in the water.
Protect your skin during the paddle, especially during midday outings.
Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated, even on shorter paddles.
Boat launch parking can fill quickly on weekends and warm days.
The Lehigh River was historically vital to Pennsylvania’s industrial growth, powering mills and transporting goods.
Local paddlers often participate in river clean-up efforts to maintain the waterway’s health and preserve natural habitats.
