Southeast Alaska Adventure, LLC operates guided sea-kayak tours based in Sitka, Alaska. The company offers immersive paddling experiences on Sitka Sound, focusing on wildlife viewing and local history. Their two signature trips are the Island Discovery Kayak Tour and War Bunkers and Wildlife, each designed for small groups and led by experienced guides. The Island Discovery Kayak Tour navigates tranquil waters, explores hidden coves, and highlights marine life such as harbor seals and bald eagles; the route is personalized and culminates at Rockwell Lighthouse. War Bunkers and Wildlife is a four‑hour combined kayaking and walking excursion around Ft. Rousseau State Historical Park, a former World War II U.S. Naval Base. Participants walk through ammunition bunkers, officers’ quarters, and artillery emplacements across eight islands while learning Sitka’s wartime history.
Safety, local knowledge, and environmental respect are emphasized on every outing: guides provide route planning, wildlife etiquette, and historical interpretation. Equipment, launch locations, and exact itineraries vary by trip and season; prospective visitors should confirm details when reserving. Southeast Alaska Adventure, LLC positions itself as a specialist in Sitka kayak experiences that blend wildlife encounters with cultural and historical context. Guides follow leave‑no‑trace principles and tailor experiences for a range of skill levels, making trips suitable for beginners and intermediate paddlers while prioritizing conservation and local cultural sensitivity throughout Sitka Sound waters.
