2.5 Hours • E-mountain-bike Guided Tour In Big Sur!
2 hours
Discover one of the most scenic rides in the world on our electric bikes. Famous for its beauty, Big Sur offers the ultimate experience to explore California's Central Coast.
On this guided tour, we will meet at the south end of the old Coast Road, along Highway 1 directly across from the entrance to Andrew Molera State Park.
Choose to ride a Specialized Tero hardtail e-mountain bike or a Super 73 RX off-road electric motorcycle-style bicycle with a throttle! Both of these bikes have a minimum height requirement of 5'3".
With a maximum of 6 riders, our small group will be guided by an expert rider on an old wagon trail along the Big Sur coast through El Sur cattle ranch & along Little Sur River’s edge through redwood forests, the tallest living thing to ever exist.
Since we travel out and back along a single dirt road, the risks of injury and getting lost are quite minimal, and each rider can ride at the pace that’s comfortable or thrilling for them, allowing for riders of varied skills and interests to all enjoy their adventure.
Take lots of photos so you can share the beauty with your friends who couldn’t make it!
Always review local weather conditions before your ride to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, as coastal weather can change quickly.
Dress in layers and opt for breathable, moisture-wicking clothes suitable for outdoor activity.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring sunglasses to shield yourself from the sun during long stretches outdoors.
Carry water and take frequent breaks to stay hydrated, especially on warm days.
The Old Coast Road was originally built in the early 20th century, serving as a vital route for early settlers and travelers along California’s coast.
Mad Dogs & Englishmen prioritizes eco-friendly practices, including reduced emissions and supporting protected parks along the route to preserve Big Sur’s natural beauty.
A helmet is essential for safety during your bike ride.
Protect your skin from UV rays even on overcast days.
