The Cascading Beauty of Elkhorn Falls

Elkhorn Falls: Scenic Waterfall in Boston Township, Indiana

Elkhorn Falls is a modest yet striking waterfall located near Boston Township in Indiana’s scenic countryside. This waterfall features a gentle cascade flowing over rugged rock formations into a clear pool below, surrounded by dense woodland typical of the region. Part of the Whitewater River system, Elkhorn Falls contributes to the local ecosystem by supporting native plants and wildlife, such as songbirds and small mammals that thrive in this peaceful, green environment.

While relatively small, the waterfall’s curtain-like flow and tranquil setting offer a relaxing scene different from many of Indiana’s more commercial parks. The area around the falls is characterized by mature trees and native undergrowth, which create a natural quiet that visitors find refreshing.
