The Tennessee River National Wildlife Refuge spans across the western region of Tennessee, along the eastern shorelines of the Kentucky Lake. Covering over 51,000 acres, the refuge is strategically positioned along the flight corridor of the Mississippi Flyway, making it a vital stopover for migratory birds. This rich area supports a wide variety of habitats such as wetlands, bottomland hardwoods, and open water, which are essential for the survival of both resident and migratory species.
