Big Sand Lake Wildlife Area Adventures

Located in Sawyer County in north-central Wisconsin, Big Sand Lake Wildlife Area encompasses a mix of forested wetlands, lakes, and upland habitats spanning over 9,000 acres. The area centers around Big Sand Lake and includes several smaller lakes, ponds, and marshes that support a rich diversity of wildlife. This protected area was established to conserve habitat for waterfowl, deer, and other game as well as numerous bird species, making it popular among hunters and birdwatchers alike.
