Raggeds Wilderness covers approximately 65,443 acres extending across the eastern part of the Gunnison National Forest and the western part of the White River National Forest in Colorado. Designated in 1980, this wilderness area features an elevation range from about 7,000 to 13,000 feet, offering challenging terrain for avid hikers and backpackers. The region is characterized by dramatic rock formations like Marcellina Mountain, alpine meadows filled with wildflowers in summer, and dense forests of spruce and fir.
