The Peak Wilderness Sanctuary is located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It encompasses the iconic Adam's Peak, a cultural and pilgrimage site for many faiths. The sanctuary is home to a variety of ecosystems including montane forests, grasslands, and cloud forests, supporting a vast range of flora and fauna. This area offers a blend of spiritual significance and natural wonder. Historically, it has been a pilgrimage destination for Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims alike.
