Salt Fork State Park is located in Guernsey County, Ohio, spanning approximately 17,229 acres and distinguished by its large reservoir, Salt Fork Lake. The landscape features rolling hills, oak-hickory forests, scenic bluffs, and open meadows, providing rich habitat for white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and various songbirds. Historically, this area was important for salt production by Native Americans, which influenced its name. Established in 1960, the park has developed into a well-loved destination for families, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
