Located in New Jersey, Kittatinny Valley State Park spans a rich, varied landscape including the picturesque glacial Lake Aeroflex and Lake Wawayanda. The park is part of the New Jersey Highlands and offers a range of activities set against a backdrop of wooded hills and serene waters. The area was historically significant for its iron mining and still features remnants of 19th-century industrial operations, including historic lime kilns and mining sites.
