Hayes Lake State Park, located in the Arrowhead Region of northeastern Minnesota near the Canadian border, encompasses a rich landscape of boreal forests, clear cold-water lakes, and rugged terrain formed by glacial activity. The park protects Hayes Lake and other smaller bodies of water, surrounded by dense forests dominated by pine, spruce, and birch trees.
