Ellacoya State Park, located in Gilford, New Hampshire, spans 65 acres along the southwest shore of New Hampshire's largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee. The park is well-known for its expansive, 600-foot sandy beach that offers a safe and spacious area for swimming and sunbathing. In addition to the beach, Ellacoya offers RV camping sites with full hookups, extending the park's appeal as a versatile destination for those looking to camp with the comforts akin to home. While the beach remains a central attraction, the nearby forested areas provide opportunities for nature walks and bird watching. Ellacoya’s location provides a stunning view of the lake's surrounding mountain ranges, fertilizing interest in photography and casual walks along the shoreline. Historically, the park has served as an important hub for lake-based recreation and continues to be managed by the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation.
