P.J. Hoffmaster State Park Adventures

P.J. Hoffmaster State Park, located along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in Muskegon County, Michigan, spans approximately 1,200 acres and is renowned for its large sand dunes, beaches, and mixed hardwood-conifer forests. The park's geography features dramatic dune formations rising up to 240 feet above the lake, providing visitors with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscape. Ecologically, Hoffmaster supports a variety of dune and forest habitats with unique plant species such as bearberry, lady's slipper orchids, and various wildflowers that bloom in the spring and summer.
