Kazikumukhsky State Nature Reserve Adventures

Kazikumukhsky State Nature Reserve, established in 1987, is a strictly protected natural area nestled in the rugged Caucasus Mountains within the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The reserve encompasses a complex mosaic of terraced mountain slopes, deep river gorges, and alpine meadows, situated primarily along the Kazikumukhsky ridge. This territory plays a pivotal role in preserving the unique ecosystems of the North Caucasus, including extensive forests of oak, beech, and hornbeam, as well as subalpine and alpine flora.
