The reservoir extends approximately 11 miles and covers 6,700 acres, serving as a popular regional destination for water-based recreation and outdoor activities. The area is characterized by rolling hills, cedar and oak woodlands, and open grasslands that support abundant wildlife including white-tailed deer, turkey, and various waterfowl species.
