Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is an impressive marine park composed of five idyllic islands: Gaya, Sapi, Manukan, Mamutik, and Sulug. Situated just 3 to 8 kilometers offshore from Kota Kinabalu, this park spans approximately 12,185 acres of coral reefs, lush rainforests, and sandy beaches. Established in 1974, the park was named after Malaysia's first Prime Minister and serves as a popular recreational destination for both locals and tourists. The park's tropical climate ensures warm temperatures year-round, making it an excellent locale for various water sports, hiking, and wildlife observation. Visitors can explore dense jungle trails, bask on pristine beaches, or dive into the vibrant underwater world populated by colorful coral reefs and diverse sea life, including clownfish and green turtles. With its rich history, the park represents an ongoing effort in marine conservation and eco-tourism, drawing attention to the ecological significance of its biodiverse habitats.
