Established in 1996, Ton Pariwat Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Krabi Province in southern Thailand, covering a mountainous area that includes sections of the Tenasserim Hills. The sanctuary protects lowland tropical rainforest and karst formations, creating a critical habitat for a variety of rare and endangered species such as the beautiful giant freshwater stingray, hornbills, and a rich diversity of birdlife.
