Located in Shawano County, Wisconsin, the Shawano Lake Wildlife Area encompasses a variety of habitats including hardwood forests, wetlands, marshes, and the expansive Shawano Lake itself. This area supports a broad range of wildlife species, particularly waterfowl, deer, and fish such as walleye and bass. Established to protect the natural environment and support outdoor recreation, the wildlife area covers over 2,800 acres surrounding the 6,343-acre Shawano Lake.
