The Sacramento River Wildlife Area comprises approximately 20,000 acres along the lower Sacramento River in Northern California. It preserves essential riparian habitats, wetlands, and floodplain environments that support diverse fish, bird, and mammal species. The geography includes expansive river channels, seasonal wetlands, and dense riparian forests made up primarily of willows, cottonwoods, and oaks.
