The Ria de Aveiro Nature Reserve encompasses a vast coastal lagoon located along the coast of Aveiro District in Portugal. This reserve protects an intricate system of tidal channels, salt marshes, mudflats, and sand dunes formed by the interaction of freshwater from several rivers with the Atlantic Ocean tides.
