Situated in Sukhothai Province, northern Thailand, Ramkhamhaeng National Park spans steep forested mountains and valleys covering a substantial area of protected land. Established in 1981, the park is named after King Ramkhamhaeng the Great, who played a key role in the founding of the Sukhothai Kingdom.
