The area features mature forests dominated by oak, hickory, and sycamore, providing important habitat for migratory birds, deer, and other wildlife. The landscape is characterized by limestone bluffs, ravines, and seasonal streams that add to its ecological diversity and scenic appeal. Visitors can explore over four miles of maintained trails that wind through the forests and lead to river overlooks.
