Located in the Swiss Jura Mountains within the canton of Vaud, Parc Jura Vaudois Regional Nature Park covers a large area of rolling hills, dense forests, meadows, and karstic landscapes. The park stretches over approximately 200 square kilometers, including high plateaus and deep valleys characterized by limestone formations, caves, and numerous springs and streams. This region supports a diverse range of ecosystems with mixed deciduous and coniferous forests, rich flora including orchids and wild herbs, and fauna such as red deer, chamois, foxes, and numerous bird species including black grouse and the rare black woodpecker.

The park’s cultural landscape reflects centuries of traditional farming, cheese production, and forestry, particularly associated with the distinctive Vaudois Jura pastoral life.
