Palgongsan Provincial Park, located just east of Daegu city in South Korea, is centered around Palgongsan Mountain, which rises to 1,192 meters (3,911 feet). The park is a popular destination for hikers, pilgrims, and nature lovers due to its diverse landscapes featuring rugged peaks, forested slopes, and crystalline streams. The name "Palgongsan" translates to "Mountain of Eight Peaks," reflecting its distinctive jagged ridges. The area encompasses a mosaic of temperate deciduous forests, home to various native flora such as Korean pine, oak, and maple, providing vibrant colors in all seasons.
