Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park is part of the larger Sangha Trinational, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and spans over 1.5 million acres. The park serves as a refuge for several endangered species including forest elephants, lowland gorillas, and chimpanzees. Established in 1993, the park has not been subjected to logging or hunting, preserving its natural state.
