Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Located near Henderson in Sibley County, Minnesota, Ney Nature Center preserves approximately 446 acres of restored prairie, wetlands, woodlands, and Lake Washington shoreline. The center is managed by the Sibley County Park Board and serves as a hub for environmental education and outdoor recreation. Visitors can explore a range of ecosystems including hardwood forests, prairie patches, and aquatic habitats that support a variety of native wildlife such as deer, wild turkeys, waterfowl, and numerous songbirds. The center’s landscape reflects both natural features and historical agricultural influences of the region.
