Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park, situated approximately 15 km from Hyderabad in the Rangareddy district of Telangana, spans over 3,796 acres. Established in 1975 in memory of Lord Mahavira, it serves as a green oasis amidst the urban sprawl. The park is primarily dry scrub jungle and home to over 400 species of plants and trees, offering refuge to a diverse array of fauna including the endangered blackbuck, several bird species, and reptiles. It functions as a vital lung space for Hyderabad, facilitating environmental education and eco-awareness. Visitors can enjoy guided safaris that offer an opportunity to experience the park's flora and fauna up close.
