Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Lake Apopka North Shore, located in Florida, encompasses a significant portion of the Lake Apopka basin and is recognized as one of the best birdwatching spots in the state. This area, part of the St. Johns River Water Management District, was once heavily impacted by agricultural runoff, leading to efforts for ecological restoration.
