It covers a mountainous region that includes the two highest peaks in the range: Mount Korab and Koritnik. The park's geography is characterized by its dramatic relief and high altitudes, which make it a haven for biodiversity, featuring several endemic plant species and serving as a crucial habitat for large mammals like bears and wolves. Historically, the area has been inhabited by various cultures over the centuries, adding a rich cultural dimension to its natural beauty. Visitors are drawn to the park for its exceptional hiking trails, including routes to the summit of Mount Korab, as well as opportunities for wildlife observation and photography.
