The park’s diverse geography includes river valleys, limestone hills, forested areas, and traditional farmlands, creating a mosaic of habitats that support a wide variety of flora and fauna. It is particularly known for its scenic sandstone cliffs, steep ravines, and the iconic limestone formations that attract geologists and nature lovers alike. The park holds significant cultural value as well, with the nearby town of Kazimierz Dolny offering a rich history and vibrant artist community. Visitors can explore centuries-old architecture and picturesque villages embedded in the landscape. Outdoor recreation is centered on hiking and cycling along well-marked trails that travel through forests, riverbanks, and quaint rural areas, as well as kayaking on the Vistula River.
