Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Kazimierski Landscape Park (Kazimierski Park Krajobrazowy) encompasses approximately 11,000 hectares of diverse landscapes centered around the scenic valleys of the Vistula and Wyznica rivers in the Lublin Voivodeship. Established in 1979, the park protects mixed forests, riverine marshes, meadows, and limestone uplands dotted with ravines and cliffs. It is an important ecological area supporting a wide variety of flora including rare orchid species and fauna such as white storks, beavers, and European otters. The park also preserves remnants of traditional Polish rural culture with historic villages, wooden churches, and 19th-century manor houses. Outdoor enthusiasts are drawn to its extensive network of marked trails and cycling routes that wind through serene woodlands, riverbanks, and quaint settlements. Notable landmarks include the Baroque Holy Trinity Church in Kazimierz Dolny and the charming riverside town of the same name, famous for its art galleries and annual festivals. Birdwatching is especially rewarding in spring and autumn migration seasons, while the gentle terrain suits families and casual hikers alike. The park’s blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage makes it a captivating destination for visitors seeking a tranquil outdoor experience combined with glimpses into Poland’s rich history.
