Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park is Malta’s first national park, spanning over the panoramic northwestern cliffs and plateaus of Malta. The park offers breathtaking coastal views, characterized by rugged cliffs, unique geological features, and the pristine Mediterranean Sea. It covers roughly 6 kilometers of coastline, offering a rich mix of Malta’s natural habitats, including garigue, steppe, and rocky shorelines. The park is not only a haven for wildlife, hosting an array of native flora and fauna, but also a site of historical significance, with various archaeological remains from different periods, including Roman and early Christian sites. Key recreational opportunities include hiking along scenic trails, bird watching, and exploring the cultural heritage sites within the park.
