Haverstraw Bay Wetlands encompass a significant stretch along the western shore of the Hudson River in New York State. This freshwater tidal wetland spans roughly 5,000 acres including marshes, mudflats, and forested shorelines. It represents the largest freshwater tidal wetland in the entire Hudson River estuary.
