Hardy Lake Provincial Park is located in southeastern Indiana near the town of Madison and covers approximately 770 acres. Established in 1979, it is centered around the 270-acre Hardy Lake reservoir, which was created for recreational purposes and flood control. The park is characterized by rolling hills, mature hardwood forests dominated by oak and hickory, and a mix of wetlands and open water areas. The park's ecosystem supports a variety of wildlife species including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and numerous songbirds, making it a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
