Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden, spanning over 202 acres, is one of the largest and oldest medicinal botanical gardens in China. Established in 1959, the garden hosts over 7,000 plant species, many of which are used in traditional Chinese medicine. The garden is strategically located near Nanning, making it a vital research and conservation center for medicinal flora. Tourists and researchers alike visit to explore its well-maintained trails, greenhouses, and educational exhibits that highlight the ethnobotanical uses of various plants. Notable sections of the garden include the Herb Garden, the Bamboo Collection, and the Succulent Plant Area. The rich biodiversity and beautifully manicured landscapes make it a popular destination for both educational visits and leisurely walks.
