Flume Gorge is a remarkable natural feature located within Franconia Notch State Park in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Discovered in 1808, the gorge stretches for 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty, with towering granite walls that rise up to 90 feet high. As visitors traverse the well-maintained two-mile loop trail, they encounter a series of natural wonders, including the famous 45-foot Avalanche Falls at the top of the gorge, smooth rock formations, and covered walkways.
