Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, situated in Ha Giang Province in northern Vietnam, covers nearly 2,356 square kilometers. Designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark, the area boasts striking geological diversity, characterized by karst formations that date back more than 400 million years. Visitors are drawn to its rugged terrain, high mountain passes, deep valleys, and unique mountain flora and fauna. Cultural richness is another hallmark of this geopark, home to 17 distinct ethnic groups each preserving unique traditions and vibrant festivals. Outdoor activities abound, with trekking and hiking leading to breathtaking vistas, especially at Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as the 'Heaven's Gate.' Historical sites such as the Hmong King’s Palace provide a glimpse into the region’s storied past.
