Dana Biosphere Reserve is the largest nature reserve in Jordan, spanning a remarkable variety of landscapes from Mediterranean forests to rocky cliffs and sandy deserts. It covers four different bio-geographical zones, which house over 800 plant species, 215 bird species, and 38 mammal species, including endangered species such as the Syrian Serin and the Nubian Ibex.
