Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Coleto Creek Wildlife Management Area encompasses over 5,700 acres of varied ecosystems in Goliad County, Texas, including coastal prairies, hardwood and pine forests, and wetlands. Managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, it provides an important refuge for native wildlife and plants. The area features rolling hills, dense brushy thickets, and the meandering Coleto Creek, supporting a wide variety of species such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, quail, waterfowl, and numerous migratory birds.
